You are invited to Trinity’s Woman’s Bible Study! We meet every Monday afternoon at 1 pm and conclude at 2. We have done a wide range of Bible Studies together over the years and look forward to many more and always are grateful for new participants.
We are currently doing a study of God’s promises in Joshua titled “Strong and Courageous” written by one of our favorite authors Donna Snow. Donna is a popular speaker and author. She has written more than thirty Bible studies and books. She frequently leads Bibles Study courses and supports mission works.
What follows is from Donna herself, a short synopsis from her study “Strong and Courageous”: The year is 1406BC. The Israelites, demoralized by forty years in the wilderness and now without their leader Moses, have finally arrived to enter and conquer the Promised Land. Who is their new leader? Joshua.
The Israelites knew Joshua as one of their own. Committed. Dedicated. Faithful. But Joshua was no Moses. Nonetheless, God tells Joshua, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9).
